The Lumachrome HD process begins with a print on transparency-based photographic media engineered for color fidelity and longevity well beyond a century. That print is face-mounted beneath 1/8 inch TruLife acrylic, backed with a rigid acrylic layer carrying a lifetime warranty, and finished with a recessed float frame on the reverse.

The result is depth no other medium reproduces. Detail appears to emerge from within the image rather than sit on its surface. Light entering the acrylic refracts and illuminates the print from within, so under proper lighting the piece reads as though it were backlit.

This is the material Justin specifies for his own collectors and for luxury residential installations where the artwork is the focal point of the room.

Anti-Reflective, Built for Bright Rooms

Standard acrylic mirrors everything in front of it. TruLife is optically clear and anti-reflective, dramatically reducing glare while preserving depth and color saturation. It is also anti-static, abrasion resistant, and blocks 99% of UV light.

That difference matters most in the rooms where large art actually hangs. Waterfront living rooms with full-height glass, gallery halls with directional lighting, and any wall facing a window. Where a glossy print reflects the room back at you, TruLife holds the image.

For a wall surrounded by windows, call before ordering. No acrylic eliminates reflection entirely, and placement is worth discussing first.

Depth, Color and Shadow Detail

Blacks stay deep instead of flattening. Shadow detail holds where other processes lose it. The surface carries a silver, almost pearl-like luminescence that no other substrate produces.

Archival by Design

The face-mount construction seals the print between the acrylic and its backing, protecting it from air, moisture and handling. The acrylic blocks 99% of UV light. Properly displayed, these prints are built to outlast the room they hang in.

Sizes to 120 Inches

Single panel acrylic prints are produced up to 60 by 120 inches, larger than any other substrate offered. Beyond that, multi-panel installations are built to any width.

Ready to Hang, Frameless by Default

The recessed float frame sits behind the piece and disappears once hung, so the print appears to float off the wall. Each piece ships ready to hang on a French cleat with no external framing required.

Custom Framing

Acrylic hangs frameless by design, and most collectors leave it that way. A frame changes what the piece does. Frameless reads modern and recedes into the wall. Framed reads as a collected object and holds the room.

Every frame is built to order for the specific artwork and the specific wall. Slim contemporary floats, deeper traditional mouldings, linen liners in a color chosen against the image and the space. No glazing is added, since the acrylic already carries its own anti-reflective surface.

Prints are hand stretched and wrapped over a premium wood frame. Rolled canvas is available unstretched on request.
